1.What the SPOT program is
The SPOT program is run by [to be completed: company name] (details in the Terms of Service). In the program you share your computer’s power to run free Minecraft servers of other MineLab99 users with the MineLab Node program, and you get gems in return.
Taking part is voluntary and free. The participation agreement is concluded when you connect the program to your account (confirm the code from the program on the “Connect computer” page) and accept these terms. For anything not covered here, the Terms of Service apply. When connecting, you confirm that you accept these terms and, if you are under 18, that you have your parent’s permission. We record the version of the terms, the date of acceptance and that statement.
The program may be a test version. Current requirements, rates, limits and instructions are on the program page.
2.Who can take part
- A person with a MineLab99 account who is at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, you need your parent’s permission before installing. Your parent decides about using the computer and the electricity and internet connection it uses, and is responsible for that permission. Ideally your parent should install the program — installation requires administrator rights.
- The computer must be yours or you must have its owner’s permission. Do not install the program on school, work or other people’s computers without permission.
- Check whether your internet contract allows this kind of use (e.g. data caps).
- The number of computers per account and the minimum hardware requirements are shown on the program page.
For parents: the program runs in the background and starts automatically when the computer is switched on; on Windows, while sharing is on, it may prevent the computer from going to sleep. You can pause or uninstall it at any time.
3.What the program does
- It installs the required components: Docker, WireGuard and the Pterodactyl Wings service, and on Windows — WSL2 with a separate Linux distribution. The first installation on Windows may require a restart.
- It sets up an encrypted outgoing tunnel (WireGuard) to our relay server — you do not need to open ports on your router.
- It runs other players’ free Minecraft servers in isolated containers that have no access to your files. During play the program regularly uploads copies of those servers’ worlds to our servers, so they can be moved if your computer goes offline.
- It uses part of your RAM (you set the amount in the program panel), CPU power, disk space and internet connection (including uploading data to players), and it increases electricity use.
- Your own free servers may get priority on your computer — you do not earn gems for them.
- It starts automatically when the system starts and updates itself, verifying the checksum of the downloaded version.
- It provides a local panel, available only from your computer, with a gem counter, a sharing switch and a disconnect button.
4.Costs and risks
- You pay for electricity, internet and hardware wear. We do not reimburse them — gems are the only reward for taking part.
- While other players’ servers run, your computer may be slower, louder and warmer. Make sure it is well ventilated and do not leave it where it could overheat.
- The program changes system settings (services, network, virtualisation). If your work or school depends on the computer and you do not accept this risk, do not install the program. Back up important files before installing.
- On Windows the installer may not be signed — the system will then show an “unknown publisher” warning. Download the program only from the program page.
5.Your obligations
By taking part in the program, you agree:
- not to look into other people’s servers — not to open, copy, change or disclose the files, worlds, logs or data of servers running on your computer;
- not to intercept or analyse the network traffic of those servers and their players;
- not to circumvent container isolation, not to interfere with the program, the Wings service, Docker or the tunnel, and not to use the tunnel for anything else;
- not to modify the program or fake the data it sends (e.g. hardware parameters, statistics or sharing status);
- not to inflate rewards artificially — e.g. by running servers from your own extra accounts, arranging with others to keep servers running artificially, pretending to be multiple computers or preventing servers from being moved;
- to keep your computer secure (system updates, protection against malware) and not to share the program token with anyone;
- to report any suspected break-in or security bug to [email protected] without delay.
Any data you might come across because servers run on your computer is confidential. You may process it only as necessary for the program to work and in line with these terms — also after your participation ends.
6.Gem rewards
- You earn gems only for the time other people’s servers (owned by other users) run on your computer. Your own servers do not count.
- The rate, the daily limit per computer, how computer quality is assessed and how often rewards are calculated are set by us and shown on the program page and in the program. We may change them for the future — a change does not take away gems already granted.
- The counter in the program is approximate; our system’s records are binding. Gems are added to your account after the billing hour closes.
- The Terms of Service rules apply to gems from the program: you cannot exchange them for money, withdraw them or transfer them to another account.
- Gems are not remuneration, and taking part in the program is not employment or a service contract. We do not guarantee any number of gems — it may happen that no server runs on your computer.
- We may suspend rewards, correct or take back gems granted by mistake or obtained in breach of these terms. We will tell you about it and why; you can appeal to [email protected].
- Doubts about a calculation? Write to [email protected] — a human will check it.
7.No guarantee
- We do not guarantee that servers will run on your computer or that the program will work without interruption.
- We may at any time move servers off your computer, pause assignments or remove your computer from the pool (e.g. because of a poor connection, security or maintenance).
- We may change or end the program. We will announce its end at least 14 days in advance, unless urgent security reasons or the law require otherwise. Gems for closed billing hours will be granted.
8.Pausing and disconnecting
- At any time you can pause sharing in the program (no new servers will be sent to your computer; running ones may finish) or disconnect the computer from your account.
- Disconnecting or uninstalling the program stops the servers running on your computer — they will be moved to other machines.
- Uninstalling removes the program, the Wings service, the tunnel, server containers and program files (on Linux, Docker stays; on Windows, the program’s WSL distribution is removed). Instructions are on the program page.
- Disconnecting a computer ends its participation in the program but does not delete your account or the gems you earned.
9.Suspension and exclusion
- We may suspend a computer’s participation or exclude you from the program if you break these terms, pose a security risk to other users or the service, we suspect reward fraud, or you do not have the required parental permission.
- We will tell you about the decision and why. You can appeal to [email protected].
- For a serious violation (e.g. accessing other people’s data) we may also apply measures from the Terms of Service, including suspending your account, and notify the competent authorities.
10.Data
The program sends us data about your computer and how it works (including the computer name, hardware parameters, load and IP address). A full description, purposes and retention periods are in the Privacy Policy.
The program does not read your private files. The IP addresses of players connecting to servers on your computer are hidden behind our relay server.
11.Liability
- We make sure the program is safe and works as described. We are liable for its conformity with the description under the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
- We are not liable for the costs of electricity, internet or hardware wear, or for damage caused by installing the program against our recommendations, on someone else’s computer without permission, or in breach of these terms.
- You are liable for damage caused by breaching these terms, in particular for accessing other people’s data.
- We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it (e.g. for damage caused intentionally).
12.Changes to these terms
We may change the program terms for important reasons (as in the Terms of Service), giving at least 14 days’ notice. If you do not accept the changes, disconnect your computer — this ends your participation. Reward rates and limits are not part of these terms: we change them on the program page, with effect for the future.
13.Final provisions
Polish law applies; a consumer keeps the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where they live. The Polish version of these terms is binding. Questions and reports: [email protected].
